Assess Finance's CEO is Simon Smith - Simon has wide senior international experience from a broad finance career in Shell.
- He was Head of Group Finance HR from 2000—2005. He was FD and Deputy CEO of Shell Egypt from 1996—2000. He has and earlier roles in Group Acquisitions and Divestments, as FD of Shell Sierra Leone and as Deputy Head of Finance for Exploration and Production.
- He is an expert in organisational change, competence frameworks and assessment, leadership coaching and integrated career support management.
- He qualified as a Fellow of the ICAEW with Touche Ross, has a MA in Economics from Cambridge University. He is a founder partner in Better Business Coaching, and has a post graduate qualification in Executive Coaching. In 2006 he founded Assess Finance, working with the ACCA to provide finance competence testing.
